Who We Are?
We belong to Pegasus Juniors FC a club that currently consists of 3 Senior mens teams, 1 womens team, 10 juniors league teams, plus our junior academy that caters for 5 - 8 year old boys and girls.
The top senior mens team play in the Hellenic league and the women in the West Midlands Womens League Premier Division, both are the highest league standard of football in each gender of all of Herefordshire. (discounting Hereford United).
As a team, we have been together since we were 6 or 7 years of age, started by Julie Nicholas (Level 2 FA coach) in the summer of 2004. In this time we have played many friendlies and entered summer festivals of which we have won 2 - Pegasus Under 8's Floodlit tournament and Pegasus Under 8's Summer 5 a side.
In 2006/07 season we will be entering the Hereford Junior Under 9 league.
Who Are Our Coaches ?
Julie Nicholas - Main Coach/Manager
Julie completed her FA Level 2 coaching qualification in August 2004 and was keen to use it. Her nephew had tried several local clubs and didn't enjoy any of them, keen to encourage him to play football Julie decided to advertise for other under 7's in the local paper and from this Julie has now 11 dedicated youngsters eager to start the league and enjoy football at each level.
Julie's background has been playing womens league football for 13 years, she has gained league player of the year twice and league top goal scorer with 33 goals in 13 games. Julie has been part of Pegasus Ladies FC for 9 years and has helped them more recently gain promotion into the Premier Division of the West Midlands league.
Jason Rouse - 2nd Coach and GK Coach
Jason was approached to help Julie from the start and gained his FA Level 1 qualification in February 2005. Jason has also completed the Goalkeeping Level 1 qualification and our 2 goalkeepers can benefit and take rare opportunity of 1 to 1 coaching each week at training.
Jason has followed football for 30 years and will share his experience with the next generation.
Kevin New
Kevin gained his level 1 in September 2006 and has supported both Jase and Julie in coaching and admin. Kevin has a long footballing background playing years of local football. His son Kyle plays in the side and Kevin has become a great asset to the club.
