2006/07
Summary -
Before our first season was under way we had won the following –
May – Raglan Under 8 Tournament, Max Top Goal Scorer of the Tournament with 7
June - Sue Parry Under 9 trophy beating Bartestree in the Final 2 -1 A.E.T
August – FC Lakers Under 8’s Tournament – Scored 19 goals and only conceded 2 from just 6 games
We then entered the league and finished -
2nd in League B of the Herefordshire Junior under 9 league with 22 points and a GD of 49
We were also -
Semi Finalists of the Buddy Cup losing to Bartestree 2 – 1
Quarterfinalists of the Hillmans Trophy losing to Pegasus Juniors
To top the season off we then came 3rd and won the Under 9 Fair Play award on our Easter Tour to Pwhelli. A reflection of what we have built as a team over the season.
We also took part in training at Central Dojo, a team building session at Taste For Adventure, a Christmas Party at TGS Bowling, A trip to the SnowDome in Tamworth, A trip to Birmingham FC including a match and tour, and went to watch Hereford United at home to Darlington.
In September 2006 Kevin New gained his level 1 FA Coaching award and joined both Jase and I helping us coach and manage the side – Including running the line and on the odd occasion refereeing.
HEAD,FOOT, KNEE CLUB – I introduced HFK Club almost 2 years ago to encourage better ball control and practise away from training and over the season we have seen a great improvement from 1 and 2 with bounces in between to an average of 8 per player without bounces and I’m pleased to say that we have awarded a number of players certificates to recognise an achievement of 10 plus – these being
Eathan Perry and James Rouse both achieving Foot Club
Max Stutz and Ru Wood achieving both foot and knee club
Ru then took it one step further and completed a series of 25 kick ups to be awarded a special trophy at Christmas and then just in March in front of the squad he completed 50 kick ups – REMARKABLE and this has not just been down to ability but determination, practise and great concentration.
At the end of 2006/07 Max Stutz left us to join Bartestree and Georgia Teague joined an under 10's girls side - to start the new season we have made 2 new signings in Joe and Tom Davies.
